ORFF | Carmina Burana

Luminous Voices’ 2023-24 season launches with Carl Orff’s Carmina Burana in collaboration with Honens Piano Competition. The chamber version of the work is highlighted by a collaboration with the Honens Piano Competition, as it will feature the 2022 Honens finalist Sasha Kasman Laude and her father, Yakov Kasman, a renowned performer, professor, and piano pedagogue. The magnificent piano duo is joined by the dynamic rhythms and timbres of a percussion section, composed of six outstanding Calgary percussionists. Featured soloists include Laura Brandt, soprano and Jin Yu, baritone along with the young voices of Cantiga of the Cantaré Children's Choir.
